Intermediate (50/70) - Little League Baseball - 11 to 13-year-olds Boys
Intermediate Baseball will follow Little League Intermediate Rules. Pitching distance is 50 feet, runners can lead-off. Base distance is 70feet. Emphasis is on growing as a baserunner and holding runners to their bases as well as stepping stones to Middle School baseball.
11-year-olds have the choice between Intermediate (50/70) and Baseball (46/60). Age 11 players that have more experience playing baseball should play Intermediate (50/70), as this division will challenge their baseball skills to grow and to overcome new challenges within the game that will acquaint them as a good next step into Middle School.
13-year-olds have the choice between Intermediate (50/70) and Senior (60/90). Age 13 players that have less experience, or less physical size should consider playing Intermediate (50/70) as this division will challenge players with Middle School rules on a smaller field. 13-year-olds may determine during evaluations to either play Senior or Intermediate and change divisions at that time.
